The Scenario
During the covid pandemic, many of our clients were forced to work from home in 2020 as a result of not being able to find suitable employment elsewhere. The issue with this was that the client’s systems were in-house and required a local network/server connection for shared resources. This made it difficult for them to collaborate effectively with their team and created problems when working from home.
The Results
The client’s staff members were able to work from home during the lockdown due to the VoIP system that we have in place which allowed them to continue running the business even during this time.
How AbrataTech Helped
We created a secure VPN solution for connecting remote machines to the local network and enabled remote desktop access. We then went on to purchase laptops for all of the staff who had to work from home, providing them with the ability to connect their laptop directly to the office PC.
We also incorporated our VoIP system, which includes a built-in messenger system and conference call service to enable the team to stay in communication. This facilitates features such as daily staff meetings, where all members of the team can be in attendance.
